In Särac, governmental elections are usually run in the beginning of June every 4 years since the introduction of a constant government and a constitution in 1983. Like in most other elections, there are several (usually 8-10) candidates and the winner is whoever gets the most votes. There are 2 stages, but if a candidate gets over 50% votes in the first stage, he's elected prematurely.

The participants in the first stage are representatives of each łátoskì, so a candidate must gain at least 3 votes to be elected prematurely.

The participants in the second stage are representatives of cities of each łátoskì.

CandidatesEdit

From 1983, there were two major parties, the Leftist Party (commonly called the Utopists), who are close to definition of a stereotypical "pinko" and look forward to developing the war industry in Särac, and the "Nationalist" Party (commonly called the Isolationists), who were truly nationalist but began to become more isolationist from 1995 onwards. After 2010, a new party, the Independence Party (commonly called the Independents) from Ugüb, came to power. All of the Independents focus on making Särac more independent and ultimately make it a łátoskì.
